10 Outfits to wear this summer in Alaska! You never know what summer will be like in Alaska, one day it'll be 55 degrees (Fahrenheit) and raining, and the next it'll be pushing 80 like no big deal! You have to have a flexible wardrobe, so here are eleven outfits to help inspire you this summer!
#1 Tank & Jeans
You can never go wrong with a lacy top and high waisted jeans! Pair them with wildflowers and XtraTufs for an Alaskan twist!
#2 Mini Dress
Mini dresses for when the midnight sun brings in the heat! A mini dress is perfect for the 4th of July, or any fun day time outings. Take it up a notch for date night with a pair of great heels.
Every northern lady knows, you best dress in layers! Wear a cute crop top under a cozy flannel. Pair them with a high waisted denim and a great little bootie if you can part from your Xtratufs! And of course, throw some gold around your neck for good measure!
#4 Boho Chic
When the days get too hot for words, you best find a pair of shorts you can wear here in Alaska AND take with you when you're snow-birding your winter blues away!
#5 Contrasting Colors
You can never go wrong with a good white sweater and dark denim! There are definitely days where the temperatures dip below 60, yet you still need to be outside! Plus light colors always show off your skin tone!
#6 Beanies and Jewelry
Cozy sweater and black denim, pair it with wavy hair, a beanie for the chilly, overcast days, and some jewelry for a pulled together look!
#7 Light Button Up
Find a good cotton and linen blend for closet. The blend in materials create breathability that will allow you to take this outfit from the office to the hiking trails. Use it for a professional look, or go full on casual and leave it unbuttoned with a came underneath while you take the canoe out! Pair it with the most comfortable jeans in the world for maximum versatility.
#8 Dressy Top
Alaska is very casual! But it's always a good idea to have a silk and lace top hanging in your closet for more formal events! Dress it up with a pencil skirt and stacked heels, or dress it down with jeans. Either way, you deserve to feel oh so pretty without trying.
#9 Special Event Goddess
A deep V dress is always a good idea! Vertical stripes are always sliming and when you mix this with a tie waist and a high-low hemline, you're sure in for a head turning evening.
Every wardrobe needs a prized possession! A fitted lace romper with cutout details and scalloped hemlines is as romantic and as beautiful as it gets.
A printed and floral romper with comfort for days is also a good wardrobe essential for the party goer! Wear it to weddings, evenings out, or an outdoor concert, because you can.
#10 Hoodie & Jeans
If you'll be up in the mountains, out on the water, or trekking over some glacier you'll definitely want to have a good hoodie on you! Anytime you're near glaciers it tends to be 10-15 degrees cooler than other areas.
#11 Cap Sleeve Maxi Dress
Got sunburned? Or are the mosquitos getting to you?! A capped sleeve maxi dress is just what the doctor ordered. A casual dress that somehow marries elegance and boho vibes will do you justice.
#12 Colorful Bottoms and a White Tee
Every badass woman needs a pair of high-waisted and printed pants or a skirt. Pair them with a basic top and neutral heels. Let your hair do the talking and you'll look effortlessly beautiful and pulled together.
