Possibly one of my favorite holidays, New Years is a great time to get out with girlfriends and kiss the past year goodbye! If you're celebrating New Years in Southeast Alaska then you'll also be celebrating longer days! Solstice and Christmas have passed and Hanukkah is coming to a close, which means you can finally let any holiday cheer/stress go and get down with your favorite people!
Celebrating New Years in Juneau can be a lot of fun, house parties are common, and if you're short on invites there's always a spot for you downtown! The annual Block Party in the Wharf takes place every year. It's also easy to bar hop Franklin and Front Streets until you find your vibe.
For me, I just love making crafts, drinking champagne out the bottle, and hanging with one of my best friends! We made our own party hats out of music sheets, and topped them with tinsel from the Christmas Tree.
Veronica wore the Patton Top in Silver and the new DL1961 Emma Power Legging, accessorized with the Siena Drop Earring and the Neva Pom Beanie. I wore the Abbot Dress, Milan Necklace, and the Lena Pom Beanie. Alaska style is the best, it's so easy to play pieces up or down, create casual or upscale with just a few minor changes. Most of Alaska is very casual, so finding a few gem pieces that stand out are usually all you need to pull off a great look!
What's your favorite New Years Eve look? Do you dress to the nines or rock your tuffs?
Happy New Year!
