A last minute sneak attack landed the Resolute Boutique & Lifestyle in the second annual Style-O-Rama fashion show in the Capital City at none other than the Red Dog Saloon. It was a great opportunity to show Juneau a new fashion platform and give all the viewers a sneak peak of looks that will be available soon.
For the Resolute, I decided on a few looks that showcase casual and holiday. Let's dissect:
Casually Beautiful (pictured on left)
Dressed in our most versatile jean is the DL1961 Farrow High-waisted Skinny I paired it with one of my all time favorites, the Ref Top, layered with a classic flannel. Jewelry played an important role, the Siena Earring helped to dress the outfit up, the Lyon necklace brought a hint of druzy sparkle, and the Ethic Goods bracelet gave a little bit of bold and raw style as the beads are made of bullet shells! I paired the outfit with a heeled bootie since we're coming into Winter.
The idea behind this look is that you can wear the same outfit, but by layering it with a flannel, it can take you from a casual Saturday, well into date night as the satin, dusty rose top and jewelry can be played up.
The holidays are just around the corner so I had to showcase what's in the pipeline for one of fashion's most festive seasons! For this outfit I started with a classic black, satin top that can be worn as a basic under a suit jacket, or is fully capable of standing on it's own for a dressy occasion. Since I brought in the statement clutch, I decided to go more neutral with the basic white skinny (coming this spring), and a bold shoe I got years ago at Shoefly (and also have worn for the 2014 Wearable Art Extravaganza!). Jewelry also played an important role in the making of this outfit, the necklace is a gorgeously unique lariat style with amethyst and a hanging crystal. For earrings the St. Tropez Moonstone drop earrings were selected for their simplicity, and the stone was higher on the ear so it drew attention up. And for rings, two vintage Alaska Black Diamond rings set in hand carved silver.
This look works for any holiday party in Southeast Alaska. We tend to be on the casual side around here so this is perfect for those that want to look well put-together, comfortable, and own clothing that is versatile across events.
Since I was in the crowd cheering my girls on, of course I had to represent my lines! I chose a gorgeous top that is anything but boring! The Patton Top is beautifully simple, and stands out since it is silver velvet! I too wore the all encompassing DL1961 Farrow Jean, and for jewelry I wore the Arrowhead Druzy bracelet, the Amethyst Slice earring, Milan Necklace (I rarely take this off),and brand new Vince Camuto pumps I landed from Shoefly.
My aim was to wear something fun, beautiful, and Boss-Lady-Like. Yes or Yay?!
For the MC
During rehearsal I quickly realized my good friend, and MC, Kaley hadn't been outfitted by anyone. I ran back to grab the Abbot Dress as the color I knew would love lovely on her. The dress is a simple, velvet swing dress with a square neckline. It worked well all on it's own since it has dimension, color, and simplicity all wrapped in one. She looked amazing!
Overall the show was a total success! We got to spread the word that the Resolute is coming, and it was a blast to be apart of. All of the stores here in Juneau are great and it was a fun event that brought the fashionistas of Juneau together.
